There are two ways of opening .VMDK files with VMware Fusion:

1. By double-clicking on .VMDK file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed VMware Fusion on your Mac, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .VMDK from the VMware Fusion menu. The menu button can be found on VMware Fusion dashboard.
