FontForge overview

FontForge is a Utility tool. You can open it on Windows, Mac, and Linux. FontForge for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on respective sources.

FontForge operates with .BDF files. Other FontForge supported filename extensions besides .BDF are .FNT, .OTF, .PFA, .PFB, .TTC, .TTF, .UFO, .WOFF.

You can open .BDF and other files with FontForge in two ways:

1. By double-clicking on .BDF file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If you have installed FontForge on your Windows or Mac, the file will open successfully.
2. You can open .BDF file from the FontForge menu. The menu button can be found on FontForge dashboard.
