gEDA overview

gEDA is a Productivity tool. You can launch it on Mac, and Linux. gEDA for Mac, and Linux can be found on respective sources.

gEDA is mainly used for working with .GBL files. Other gEDA supported filename extensions besides .GBL are .GBO, .GBP, .GBR, .GBS, .GML, .GPI, .GTL, .GTO, .GTP, .GTS, .SYM.

There are two ways of opening .GBL files with gEDA:

1. You can double-click on .GBL file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed gEDA on your Mac or Linux, the file will open successfully.
2. You can open .GBL file from the gEDA menu. To open the menu, launch gEDA, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
