gEDA overview

gEDA is a Productivity program. It is available on various platforms, including Mac, and Linux. gEDA for Mac, and Linux can be found on respective sources.

gEDA is mainly used for working with .GBL files. Other gEDA supported file formats besides .GBL are .GBO, .GBP, .GBR, .GBS, .GML, .GPI, .GTL, .GTO, .GTP, .GTS, .SYM.

There are two ways of opening .GBL files with gEDA:

1. By double-clicking on .GBL file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If gEDA is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .GBL from the gEDA menu. The menu button can be found on gEDA dashboard.
