KiCad overview

KiCad is a Productivity program. It is available on various platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. KiCad for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on respective sources.

KiCad is mainly used for working with .BRD files. Other KiCad supported file formats besides .BRD are .SCH.

There are two ways of opening .BRD files with KiCad:

2. By opening .BRD through the KiCad menu. The menu button can be found on KiCad dashboard.
